What is a "Prayer Cell"?
The "Queen of the World" Prayer Cell is one of many Fatima Prayer Cells promoted by the World Apostolate of Fatima (USA), a Public Association of the Faithful of the Pontifical Right, established by the Holy See on October 7, 2005
The Fatima Prayer Cell of Holiness is a weekly or monthly gathering for small group prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, in church/chapel, or in a home. Members endeavor to grow in the holiness by responding to Our Lady’s request for prayer, penance and sacrifice in a spirit of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for the conversions of sinners. By doing this, we hope to bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the promised era of peace to mankind.
It could be said that these “prayer cells” were started by the Angel of Peace who taught some of the prayers to the three children, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta during the miracle at Fatima where Our Lady appeared to the children encouraging them to pray and make sacrifices for sinners. This request for prayer and sacrifices by Our Lady has never been timelier than the present time when the world is mired in sin and moral decadence.
