Conversation with Christ

Often we think that the saints and mystics of the Church had such deep prayer lives that we could not come anything close. This is simply not true. I would like to suggest to you a book that explains the prayer methods of one of the most profound saints and doctors of the Church.

All of us, in order to have a deep relationship with Christ must have an equally deep prayer life and that includes conversation and meditation.

When it comes to contemplative mental prayer there is no greater authority than St. Teresa of Avila. This prayer is nothing for us to be intimidated by. In the book Conversation with Christ by Peter T. Rohrbach (available at Gift Shop) we can clearly see that “mental prayer is nothing else than an intimate friendship, a frequent heart-to-heart conversation with Him by whom we know ourselves to be loved.”

In Christ,

Fr. Paul

“If He who is without sin prayed, how much more ought sinners pray!” ~St. Cyprian
